Frequently Asked Questions

Why is Mansfield Rocks on July 2 this year?

While Mansfield Rocks is traditionally held on July 3 The FIFA World Cup 2026™ will be hosting a Round of 32 match on July 3 at Dallas Stadium in Arlington. With the increase in traffic and public safety needs the decision was made to move the event for this year. July 4 will mark the inaugural home game for North Texas SC at Texas Health Mansfield Stadium, followed by another fireworks show, so July 2 was the optimal date.

Why are the fireworks being launched from a new location?

With the area surrounding the traditional launch site near Heritage Parkway undergoing a lot of construction and the status of Mansfield Stadium as a FIFA Team Base Camp, the decision was made, in coordination with Police and Fire, to move the fireworks launch site to the Skinner Sports Complex. The Sports Complex will be closed to the public.

Where can we watch the fireworks?

The fireworks will be able to be seen from a wide radius around the Skinner Sports Complex. The parking lots at Vernon Newsom Stadium (3700 E. Broad St.) will be open to the public for free and will provide an excellent vantage point to watch the show.
